I took the Fujifilm XT-100 for a walk today, with Fujinon XC 50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS II and Fujinon XC 15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS PZ.
It’s a light camera, nice to hold, and quite reliable, despite of not being the sharpest in my bunch. I usually love the colors it produces, in this instance the blue haze was quite all over the top but in its defense the real life conditions were similar, so it did render accurately. I love the film-like vibe of the images.
Just like Leica, it has a more pronounced magenta and red tint but then that’s a question of taste. The distortion is quite pronounced in some instances, I normally correct it in DxO ViewPoint.
There was very low light in some frames, and that forest images are notably difficult to get right straight out of camera. I’d give it a good rating in terms of performance. This being said, the best photos are in manual mode, with exposure fine tuning. It’s a great camera, but you can’t expect to put it in Auto or Aperture and shoot away great photos. What comes out of Aperture mode can look from ok-ish to bad postcard quality, especially in vivid color settings.
